WHO WE ARE
Arroyo Elementary School is a FLAGS Academy. FLAGS stands for Foreign Language, Academics and Global Studies. We proudly lead our students through a continuous exploration of their world.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDIES
All students are exposed to four foreign languages (Spanish, French, Italian and Greek) on a weekly basis in an exploratory class. Each language is focused for up to 10 weeks. Older students have the opportunity to participate in after-school enrichment classes to study a selected language.
GLOBAL STUDIES
Each grade will explore a variety of topics by studying the seven continents and adjacent geographic areas. Topics may include the countries, cultures, dance, history, environment, current events, art and more.
Every Friday is Spirit Day at Arroyo! Show your school spirit by dressing in our spirit wear. If you need spirit wear for your student, you can purchase T-shirts for $15 and jackets/sweatshirts for $25 in the office.
AERIES Parent/Student Portal
Please activate your Aeries Parent Portal Account as soon as possible! With the Aeries Parent Portal you can update medical, contact and demographic information, as well as read and sign Simi Valley Unified School District's Acceptable Use Policy and other important documents. In the past, you would have signed these documents in our Parents Rights' Handbook. You may view these documents in the Aeries Parent Portal under the "Documents" tab.
